Counselling isn't just for times of crisis or distress, it can be part of a self-care routine. Using talking therapy as a means to keep check on your emotional health and mental well-being promotes an all round feeling of balance. In turn this is empowering and drives you towards living as your authentic self.
I only want the best outcomes for people and pride myself on working in a way which is relaxed, engaging and affirming of who you are. I am an integrative counsellor with person centred theory at the heart of what I do. This is because I believe in you having autonomy in your life experiences. My approach is adapted to suit the needs of the ADHD, Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent community I serve.
I blend approaches in a creative manner as I know as humans we engage and communicate in varying ways so one size doesn’t fit all!! I like to use psychoeducation - meaning I’m happy to offer insight into why we are doing something a particular way so you are able to understand the process as we go through it. I also believe that our minds and bodies are linked and as such what is felt in the head can play out in the body and vice versa (somatics)
Counselling with me can provide you with the opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings, gain insight into behaviours, and develop coping strategies. It can help you to recognise that which you need to let go of and that which you need more of. I can offer support, guidance, and tools to help you navigate through challenging times and improve your mental and emotional well-being. Through counselling, you can work towards personal growth, healing, and a deeper understanding of yourself and what your needs are.
As your therapist I'm here as your confidant, our relationship is built on trust and respect. I'm here to help you navigate your situation but I don't have a magic wand to perform miracles. I believe the magical ability to change is already within you, I'm here to help you re-ignite it!!

what works for you?
Counselling can be short or long term - dependant on your needs. I currently work with individuals online or phone with limited availability for home visits within my local area (by arrangement) Your sessions are tailored to what suits you, I am guided by what you want or need to discuss at that moment in time. You are under NO pressure to speak about areas within your life that you are uncomfortable exploring ................ however, when you are ready, I'll be here waiting and honoured to listen to you.
Progress comes at a pace which is safe and comfortable for you!!
I happily tailor my sessions to suit your requirements (where possible). If you are neurodivergent I understand the importance of making accommodations in order to meet your needs. low lights, high lights, cameras on cameras off, shorter sessions, longer sessions, non-talking, stimming, taking a break - whatever brings you comfort, I will aim to provide. know that the most important person in the room is YOU!!
